Once noted

Twice left out to dry.

Bring tyres and wheels appropriate for the ride.
If there is any question, bring heavier and bigger stuff. NEVER lighter and smaller.
Deep Dish rims on training rides are stupid. They add to several problems.

Always have a spare tube, a tool, and a pump. ALWAYS.
A chain tool is also highly recommended.

If you can afford fancy stupid wheels then you can certainly afford a saddle bag for all your bikes.

Word.

Riding w/ slower folk

If they're not as fast or strong as you, just ride a little before going on the ride w/ them.
Also use some heavier equipment, then ride a little afterwards too.
Equalize the equation a little.

It's a win-win situation for both parties!
Don't make a big deal of it though.

Inviting others

If you invite someone along for a ride...
Then you never, ever, *ever* drop them for long, or leave them behind.
Ever.

After some time you may encourage them to return home though.
But that's after you've already ridden w/ them for a while.

Waiting

We always wait for each other on rides.
Especially at the beginning.
Each turn-off.
Important to ride as a group in the beginning.

This does not apply to racing though.
